How it happened When I was young, I wanted to become a pilot. Slowly, things changed. I always loved watching movies, but never could visualise myself in them. But my grandfather Sidhalingaiya, a famous director in Kannada, always wanted me to become an actor. He would patiently explain things to me. After high school, many of my dad's friends wanted to introduce me to the Tamil film industry. But I wanted to hone my skills before I stood in front of the camera.

So I learnt to dance, do stunts, and other things needed for an actor. I listened to a lot of scripts but nothing seemed perfect for me, until Badri Venkatesh's Baana Kaathadi came. I am happy Sathyajothi Films launched me. How it felt The movie was scheduled to release in the middle of August. But when Sathyajothi Thyagarajan told me that he was planning to release it in the first week of August, I became nervous.

On the day of its release, I went to Udhayam theatre. The first show was over and people were coming out. Suddenly some of them lifted me up and hugged me. They said they liked my performance.

It was the best day of my life. How life changed A lot of things have changed. People seem to have forgotten my real name and call me Ramesh after the character I played in the film. They were able to relate to the character easily. The credit for my success goes to my grandfather, my father actor Murali, T.

Thyagarajan who has shaped the film and my character beautifully, his two sons who produced the film and the director of the movie. I am now waiting for a good script for my second film.
