Sweden’s INEVITABLE END returns with their new album The Oculus. The Oculus is a significant evolution away from their earlier death metal leanings and towards a more frantic, aggressive and creative form of modern metal. No less intense than their earlier work, the quartet blasts through thirteen high-energy tracks that run the gamut from extremely technical to straight-up crushing.

The Oculus is a killer front-to-back album and as intense and super-charged as modern metal gets. Credits released 24 May 2011 Relapse Records The Oculus by Inevitable End. A nice breath of fresh air for hardcore punk in the harshest demeanor possible! This is the pummeling debut EP from SECTARIAN VIOLENCE, an intercontinental straight edge hardcore punk band comprised of members of bands from the US (COKE BUST), the UK (NEVER AGAIN), and Sweden (STAY HUNGRY). Fast, raw, pissed off hardcore drawing influences from 80's hardcore like THE ABUSED, LIFES BLOOD, NEGATIVE APPROACH, or early AGNOSTIC FRONT, with a contemporary take on the genre similar to more recent bands like VIOLENT MINDS or DEAD STOP. Raging fast parts combined with hard hitting breakdowns, all of which are executed with desperation and urgency of those classic 80's bands.

Lyrically the topics cover a range of social and political issues, both globally and locally, seething with the frustration and anger that makes hardcore and punk still relevant in 2012. In 1988, Michael McKeegan (guitar/bass/vocals), along with his brother Charlie (drums), formed the death metal band, EVIL PRIEST. Originally just the two of them they recorded their first 'Pretention Is No Excuse' demo in 1988. By the following year a third McKeegan, Ciaran (guitar), had joined the ranks.
