If you are trying to run the new Activation Based SolidNetwork Licensing and you get an error of 'Invalid SolidNetWork License serial number (29)' when installing or activating and have followed all of the steps listed in our previous blog posting ( ) about how to use SNL Activation then you will want to read on. The reason for this error is that you probably want to install the latest and greatest service pack of the SNL Manager, SP3.0, and that is where the problem is. You can check this out by going to the About button in the lower left of the SNL Manager software and looking for Version 17/3.0 (17=SW2009, 16=SW2008). SOLIDWORKS is working on addressing this error and has it currently listed under SPR 486539. In the meantime, you will need to uninstall SP3.0 and install an earlier Service Pack of the SNL Manager.
